About
I'm Hao — a product leader based in Montclair, NJ (NYC metro) with a background spanning applied AI/ML, data platforms, payments, and commerce. Currently at Capital One, where I lead a team building ML-powered products that reach 40M+ monthly active users.
Before that, I worked across startups, M&A banking, with a short break to help launch a restaurant in Shanghai and write about food for a now-defunct webzine called cityweekend. I attended the Huntsman Program for Int'l Studies & Business at Wharton + UPenn, with a year abroad at Sciences-Po in Paris (where I also met my wife).
Outside of work, I organize a weekly pickup basketball run, am eating something good (or thinking about what to eat next), build side projects with AI, and hang out with my family.
